Nursery Information

Decoy First Steps Nursery is part of the Early Years Foundation Stage Team at Decoy School. The rest of the team is made up of the two Reception classes. Coming to our Nursery gives your child the best possible start to their learning journey at Decoy Community Primary School. The Nursery works very closely with the Reception classes. We share highly trained teaching staff and plan together to ensure that all children are inspired, motivated and challenged in their learning.

Admissions to First Steps Nursery

At Decoy we can offer, subject to availability, up to fifteen hours, using your early years funding. We can also offer, subject to availability, up to thirty hours using extended entitlement, for those who meet the government criteria. You can also request additional hours that will be charged at a rate of £4.90 an hour.

In addition, any child registered to our nursery is eligible to book a place at our Breakfast & After School Clubs. Our Breakfast Club runs 7:55am - 8:55am and our After School Club runs 3:30pm - 6:00pm, with the additional option for a 5:00pm collection.  Please be aware that there are limited nursery places available at our Breakfast and after School Clubs.

As a school we will aim to offer places a term in advance. However, this may not always be possible. Parents are advised to apply as early as possible as places are offered with a term’s notice.

Session Times

• Morning Session: 9:00am - 12:00am
• Lunch Session: 12:00am - 1:00pm
• Afternoon Session: 1:00pm - 3:30pm
