Communication and Language
Children have at least one story read to them every day and at least one meaningful conversation with an adult to help develop speaking and listening skills.
Children learn many different songs, rhymes, poems and develop a love of language.
Children develop the confidence to articulate their thoughts and ideas with adults and their peers and to feel that their contributions are valued.
Adults model and introduce new vocabulary across each area of learning to develop a broad and varied word bank to draw upon.
