Equality
Decoy Community Primary School and First Steps Nursery aims to meet its obligations under the public sector equality duty by having due regard to:
- Eliminate discrimination and other conduct that is prohibited by the Equality Act 2010
- Advance equality of opportunity between people who share a protected characteristic and people who do not share it
- Foster good relations across all characteristics – between people who share a protected characteristic and people who do not share it
The Equality Act 2010 requires schools to publish specific and measurable equality objectives.

Decoy's equality objectives are based on analysis of data and other school-based evidence. The equality objectives focus on areas of development to improve equality and tackle disadvantages. We regularly review the progress we are making to meet our equality objectives.
